This website is run by Kristy Ozolina, an author based in the UK. I’m responsible for any personal information you share through it. You can contact me about your information at [email protected].
What I collect and why
- Orders: your name, email, phone number and delivery address, so I can send your books and contact you about your order. Payments are handled by Stripe, and I never see your full card details.
- Newsletter: your email address, to send you your welcome discount and news about my books. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe”.
- Contact form: your name, email and message, so I can reply to you.
- ARC team applications: the details you give in the form, so I can choose and manage my advance reader team.
- Website reviews: the name, rating and review you submit, which I may show on the website once approved. Your email address is never shown.
Where it’s kept
Form submissions are stored in my Google account (Google Sheets and Gmail). Payment and order details are stored by Stripe. Your books are printed and posted by my print partner, who receives your name and delivery address for that purpose only.
How long I keep it
I keep order records for as long as I need them for accounts and tax (usually six years). Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages and ARC applications are deleted when they’re no longer needed.
What I never do
I never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it’s used. Just email [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and browser storage
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a few small things in your own browser so the site works: what’s in your basket, your chosen currency, and whether you’ve already seen the newsletter pop-up. Stripe’s checkout page uses its own cookies to keep payments secure.
